Like i said, you're missing a bunch of stuff and events if you don't do the story and the endings (which isn't limited to the kings quests) You'll get story portals as time passes, or whenever you upgrade your world hostility over a certain level if you are on freeplay. You can do all the endings on free play, so there is no hurry or pressure. I'd highly recommend it. There's also stuff like the Avy sidequest, An_3 whole quest (has to do with true ending) or the myriad of Unique characters to hunt for, and scenes to unlock. There's also the dating minigame, that has a couple of girls locked behind it, like Frileira(the fluffy girl with blue accents), i love her design,
